Fabric

What is Microsoft Fabric?

Launched in 2023, Microsoft Fabric is an integrated data platform designed to break down the silos between business, data teams and analytical tools. It brings together, in a single workspace, previously separate services: Power BI, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Data Activator, OneLake, and even notebooks for data scientists.

Fabric is based on OneLake, a single data lake shared by all tools. This guarantees greater data consistency, reduced duplication and centralized governance. Teams can collaborate around reliable sources, without having to duplicate processing or multiply tools.

Why adopt Microsoft Fabric?

Microsoft Fabric is a concrete response to the complexity of data architectures. With a unified interface, fluid workflows and native interoperability between services, the platform offers greater agility, productivity and security.

It also provides a coherent environment for data engineers, analysts and business users, accelerating data projects while guaranteeing consistent quality of service.

For companies already anchored in the Microsoft ecosystem, Fabric represents a natural and strategic evolution, fully integrating with Azure, Microsoft 365, and existing governance tools.

AI at the heart of Microsoft Fabric

Microsoft Fabric integrates advanced artificial intelligence features to make analysis faster, more accessible and more proactive. With Copilot, users can interact with their data in natural language, generating reports, metrics or queries without writing code. This capability transforms the way teams explore and exploit their data on a daily basis.

With Copilot Studio, you can also create custom conversational agents, integrated with your business tools or Microsoft 365 environment, to automate responses, guide users or accelerate certain analytical processes.

Finally, Microsoft Fabric takes advantage of Azure AI Services, which enable you to enrich your projects with ready-to-use AI models (text analysis, translation, image recognition, etc.) or customized models tailored to your data. These services integrate natively with Fabric, paving the way for advanced machine learning and generative AI use cases.

ActinVision supports you in the responsible and practical deployment of these AI bricks, to empower your teams and breathe new life into your data projects.
